North of England
Day One

Heading North from Central London we travel into  Robin Hood's country. See Nottingham castle and visit the oldest pub in England for a sample of some real English ale. The 450 acre Sherwood Forest  is a dream to explore and with a picnic lunch you will feel like one of the Merry Men! Test your skills at adventure archery before we making our way to  Viking York ! 

A chance to explore the awesome Gothic Cathedral (England's largest), the medieval city walls and the sites and sounds of the llively city centre. After our authentic Viking feast, experience a spine tingling ghost walk followed by a rally of traditional pubs.

A great night to be had is guaranteed!

 Day two

After breakfast, visit Bolton Abbey – before heading onto the amazing Yorkshire Dales – try some local Wensleydale cheese while we wind our way through small country roads. Surround yourself in the world of James Herriot (location for the filming of 'All Creatures Great and Small', before we arrive at the Lake District National Park (the largest National Park in Great Britain).

Have a chance to wake board , kayak or motor cruise on Lake Windermere - try a bit of horse riding (optional activities) or explore the wonderful lakeside town of Bowness (home of Beatrix Potter) and Coniston. We finish our day at our secret location for our unique lakeside BBQ. Take a dip in the lake and enjoy breathtaking views round an open fire whilst the sun goes down.

Day three

After breakfast, we travel South to Liverpool for some  Beatles Mania. Visit the Albert Docks for the 'Beatles Story' and a glimpse of Liverpool's famous football stadium. Cross the Mersey river and down into Wales to the stunning Snowdonia National Park -  (the second largest national park in Great Britain) dominated by the highest peak in England and Wales -  Mt Snowdon (3560 ft) See the famous Welsh slate mines and go in search of Gellerts grave.
We  check into the backpackers, famous as Lawrence of Arabia's birthplace, and soak up some Welsh hospitality and great food. Relax in the in-house bar or investigate the local town of Tremadog. Finally a chance to rest for a good night's sleep in the very cosy beds !

Day four

We begin our day of course with a bit of breakfast then a beach drive (tide dependent) followed by an unforgettable visit to Portmeirion – a taste of Italy in the heart of Wales. All aboard the steam railway heading for Coed y Brenin forest to enjoy some mountain biking/dry slope skiing/boarding or a precipice walk. (optional activities). Then eastwards to Shakespeare's, Stratford-upon-Avon. A chance to see the house where he was born, Anne Hathaway's Cottage (his wife’s) and Mary Arden's spectacular house (his mother). We check into our lovely accommodation, sit down for a filling meal before it's out for a night at the famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre (seasonal performances).

Day Five

The morning is spent meandering through the spectacular Cotswolds - spend some quality time in a Cotswolds village (perhaps sample a cream tea) before arriving in the University city of Oxford. Get a full tour of the City and famous University colleges followed by a chance to punt on the Thames (optional activity) before heading back to London for late afternoon.

Where does it leave from? Earls Court (on the Piccadilly/circle and District line) every Monday morning at 8am.
